Yellowfin are classic big game fishing and we get a shot at them during a small window in Spring during their migration to the Gulf. They are identified by their big yellow sickles and bright yellow sicklets running don their tail. A Miami Yellowfin can be anywhere from 40-150+ lbs. which tests the limit of the 20 lb tackle we usually kitefish with. Landing one is harder than hard… but not impossible.
