Rainbow Runners are on the larger end of baitfish and can get in the 2-5 lb range if they survive long enough to get off shore. We usually catch them as bycatch when fishing for Yellowtail Snapper but have caught bigger fish on Sargassum weed patches offshore while Mahi fishing.
