Miss Britt - Miami Fishing Charter

Ray Rosher

Ray Rosher

Ray is a second generation native of Miami. His father and grandfather shared with him the love of fishing. That helped launch his career as a professional crewman at the early age of 16. He has fished exclusively as a full time fishing guide in South Florida and International waters for over 30 years, the first 20 years Ray captained the "Tropicat" for Kelly Tractor, fishing their clients both in Miami and Key Largo . He has 26 first place finishes in sailfish, marlin or swordfish tournaments as well as 5 tournament series titles. He has great crew members and gear to take advantage of the many types of fishing available to South Florida. “I’ have been fortunate to have a job that I love. I enjoy every day that I get to go fishing on my boats. I've also participated as an angler, crewman or sometimes even a customer on several other boats. All these experiences have shaped my business philosophy that a hardworking, courteous crew as well as a properly equipped and well maintained boat are essential elements in the charter business. No matter what type of fishing you want to do, I and the rest of my crew will do their best to insure that you experience a great day of fishing." Captain Ray Rosher.

Alex Castellanos

Alex is a Miami native. Ray and Alex met in 1999 when Alex helped Ray complete the construction of the Miss Britt. Alex started working with Ray at the age of 17 as a mate. By the age of 19 Alex had earned his Captain's license and began running the boat. Despite his young age Alex has quickly grown into one of the areas best captains. His tournament successes speak for themselves. Alex got the kudos for his fishing ability in the 2003 Miami Billfish Tournament. Often it is Alex leading the Miss Britt Fishing Team. When you are fishing with Alex, you're fishing with one of the best. Alex might just be the one to help you get "the bite of your life" - and he's right up there in the fishing ranks with the best captains in the business and Captain Ray's right hand man from the beginning of Miss Britt Charters.

In 2008, Alex joined the Miami fire department, his flexible schedule still allows him time for fishing. Record accomplishments aside, he is extremely professional, hard working and fun to fish with.

Jim Mulcahy

Jim’s success tournament fishing on the Miss Britt’s speaks for itself with back-to-back Libertad Series wins.

Also a South Florida native, he started fishing at age 5 aboard his father's three drift boats (the Majestic Fleet in Key Largo). He began working as a mate at age 12 during summers and weekends. Jim became a full time fisherman in 1987 at the age of 18. He received his captains license in 1989 and worked as both a mate and fill-in captain aboard the "Tropicat" with Ray from 1988-1992. Ray and Jim have maintained a solid friendship and working relationship ever since.

From 1992 to 1996, Jim worked on and ran the charter boat "Gotcha." He ran the 55' Hatteras charter boat "Brown-Eyed Girl" for the next three years (1996-1998) and then, has worked on the "Abracadabra" since 1998 fishing the Bahamas Billfish Championship during the summers. From 1999-2002, Jim captained the 61' Buddy Davis "Canyon Bear," out of Ocean Reef in Key Largo for a private owner and made frequent trips to Mexico.

Since 2002, Jim has run his own boat commercial fishing for amberjack and live bait. He's been working on the "Miss Britt" since 2003 as both a captain and a mate.
